This holiday season, The First String Healthcare in Irvine participated in the Adopt-A-Family program coordinated by S.O.S., a local Orange County organization that provides a host of health, social, and other services to those in need. The Adopt-A-Family program supports many struggling Orange County families by providing gifts and food for the holidays. The program connected The First String to a family with four young children who are living with their grandparents after their parents left the area to find work. The grandparents are struggling to make ends meet while helping the children adjust emotionally from the separation of their parents. In hopes of helping support the family and bring joy this holiday season, individuals at The First String donated money and time to obtain memorable gifts for this deserving family. The gifts included gift cards for grocery stores so the family can have a full pantry for the holidays as well as a bicycle, other toys, diapers, and other necessities for the children. There is no greater gift than that of giving and The First String is immensely grateful for the ability and opportunity to give back to a deserving family, hopefully brightening their holiday season.
